About the Blogger

I’m Sreeja, a very-Bengali, madly-in-love-with-Kolkata girl, who is currently pursuing her PhD studies in Computer Science in a  very mid-western, anti-Kolkata_like city of Lincoln in Nebraska, USA. Now if you don’t know Kolkata, then it is one of the biggest, most-populous, politically-crazy, football/cricket-frenzied, celebrating-everything city in India. And if you don’t know Lincoln, then I can’t help you (I’ve been here only for a few months now) But yes, I like it already.

Another thing about me is that I’m literally dumb when someone asks me ANYTHING about me. But I can talk and talk, blabber and blabber and blah blah.. when no one wants to listen… And yes, I love dogs, I love animals, I don’t like insects that much… but recently I’ve also started liking reptiles… So you might find a lot of that on my blog. Sometimes it gets a little bit overbearing for most people around me… but bear with me… I truly believe that animals are a wonderful treasure. I’m also crazy about the work I do – Robotics. So you might find some things like that in here, though I’ll try to keep that to a minimum, unless it is something I have done. Well that will be all for now.

P.S. [7 Jan 2012 16:41] When I named my blog unApologetic the first question I was asked was “is your content going to be controversial enough to warrant unapologetic ?” Well, it’s because I’m going to be unapologetic about everything that I post here, it’s going to be unabashedly me!

P.P.S. A quote that perfectly describes me is Marilyn Monroe‘s “I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.” Too bad she already said it.. But she said it perfectly, so I’ve to give her credit 🙂

  1. I liked and enjoyed reading your Blog ….Honestly there are some aspects to be improved…and also admired your work on Mobile Underwater Sensor
    Networks…Good Job…

    • Thank you for stopping by and for the feedback… I know there are a lot of things that need improvement, but I am a very sporadic and spontaneous blogger and right now I do not have much time.. But I hope soon I will have enough time to dedicate to blogging… I had one question though: How do you know about my work on underwater sensors? I don’t think I have mentioned it anywhere here…

      • Hello again!!!!!!, Sorry for my dilatory reply!!!!….I was lost in my work…..I’m just a math student currently working in the field of Oceanographic Research. Recently, probably few months back, i came across a journal on under water sensors ….. after reading your bio, i presumed you must be the same person…….

P.S : By the way…..why is your blog named “unApologetic”(just curious)

        • Hi Will, extremely sorry for my ‘dilatory reply’ this time… I’m writing my thesis, which implies that I sleep a lot.. 😀
I am so glad someone has read that journal.. Thank you! Are you also a student at UNL?
why unApologetic? well, If it’s just about the style then it’s because i like to follow ROS/C++ naming conventions. But if it’s the word itself, that means you have read my blogs but not my bio (there’s a whole paragraph on that there) which is understandable given it’s almost 3 years old.

    • Well! U must have really hated it to leave a comment and let me know about it! As far as what you think, the name of my blog is a reply in itself to your comment! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

    • I went to Colorado on a 3-4 days road trip last Summer and absolutely fell in love with the place! How do u adjust to Lincoln after coming back from beautiful CO?

      • Hello again, Sreeja! Yes, Colorado is very beautiful & I do miss the adventures that I experienced up there a great deal [I was living in the ‘high country’ near the continental divide for about seven years]! Adjusting back to living in Lincoln has been strange- I spent so many days exploring the forest, etc. up there that living in a city again has been a real challenge- I spend most of my time in my art studio working on my four dot coms and a few books / other projects that I hope to have finished in the near future. What part of CO did you visit? How has Lincoln been treating you over there? Enjoy the day- Take care! 🙂

  2. Very good luck with your Blogging journey, and a big thanks for signing up to Learning from Dogs. Hope you are disappointed when you find that it’s frequently not about dogs! Well not directly! P.

What do you think?!!
